Family
I have lived on the outskirts of Nottingham all of my life, I met my wife, Claire in 1997 and we have three children together. My eldest Kieran (17), has just started working for our family business and my two daughters (14 & 10) are working hard at school.
Hobbies
I have always had a love for all kinds of motorsport including Moto GP, BSB and F1 and have been to quite a few races as well as various motor shows. I also have a keen interest in my local football team which I have been an active supporter since the age of 3.
Work History
My working life started at a local supermarket whilst studying in the 6th form at school, after leaving school I continued working there for another year earning valuable customer service experience. From there I spent 2 years working for a clutch and brake company in the Goods Inwards department which has taught me the value of a good stock control system. Before joining the family business, I spent 2 years working for a nationwide tool hire company working my way up to the role of branch manager.
Company
After gaining valuable experience at my previous roles, in 2002 I began working for our family business. I have spent quite a few years working in the despatch and goods in implementing new ideas to make the company work better as well as gaining vast amounts of product knowledge from my family, suppliers and customers. We pride ourselves in being able to offer a service like no other. We stock the majority of available trailer parts from all manufacturers and also have the knowledge to be able to help and advise our customers.
NTTA
We joined the NTTA in 2012 to be up to speed with the latest news and legislations that were coming into force at the time with type approval and such like. Not long after joining I was coaxed onto the council and joined in with the following meetings. This year I have taken on the role of Chairman, which I am very excited about. With the valuable help and experience of my fellow council members and members alike, I really think that we can move the NTTA forward to serve and aide it’s members more than ever.
