NTTA Membership
Membership of the National Trailer and Towing Association is open to individuals, companies and organisations involved in the Light Trailer and Towing Industry (trailers up to 3500kg).
Membership of the NTTA means that you are part of a national organisation. Your views are important to us. Each of our members has his or her own individual or company specialties and requirements. Together, our collective view forms a consensus that allows us to represent our industry at national and international level.
NTTA sits on many high-level working groups with partners such as Highways England, Department for Transport, VOSA, DVLA, DVSA, British Horse Society, NFU, IAM RoadSmart and SMMT so you can be assured that your voice will be heard.
Member Benefits
We have put together a number of member benefits including a very attractive business insurances package with a specialist broker and we have already had several examples of members offsetting their NTTA subscription fees with the savings made on the preferential insurance rates alone. We also have in place a trailer sales finance option with transaction values starting as low as £2,000 which is exceptionally low for this kind of service. The benefits package also features a very attractive payment card handling arrangement for members and a complimentary commercial legal advice scheme for business matters and which includes VAT and other tax advice as well as Health & Safety and Employment matters.
Your subscription also includes automatic entry to the Buyers’ Guide on our website, an increasingly consulted source of the best suppliers in the towing industry!

NTTA Quality Secured
NTTA Quality Secured is a customer care quality scheme monitored and run by the National Trailer and Towing Association Limited which is the official trade association for the UK light trailer and towbar industry. The scheme promotes Industry Standards, Workshop Best Practice, Customer Service and Guaranteed Workmanship.
Each member company of the scheme is visited at least once a year and receives a thorough inspection by independent assessors. The inspection looks at several aspects of the company. These include, customer service, documentation, workshop practice, faulty parts return, customer complaints procedures, staff knowledge and training and other criteria. Only successful completion of the criteria allows the company to be awarded its annual Quality Secured accreditation.
All eligible NTTA members are required to become Quality Secured Accredited within 1-year of joining the Association but usually achieve this much sooner.
(an “eligible member” is one that provides a direct service to the public either fitting towbars or servicing/reparing trailers. This can be workshop based or mobile)
